A4 Motorway Near Dresden to See Nighttime Roadwork During Saxon Holidays
The Federal Highway Authority has scheduled roadwork on the A4 motorway near Dresden during the Saxon autumn holidays, aiming to minimize disruption. The project, costing approximately 800,000 euros, will focus on road surface renewal and will affect a three-kilometer section between Dresden-Wilder Mann and Dresden-Altstadt junctions on the Aachen/Chemnitz-bound carriageway from October 6th to 15th.
The roadwork will primarily take place at night, from 8 PM to 5 AM, with traffic reduced to one lane. No daytime restrictions are expected. The Dresden city authorities are managing the project and have coordinated traffic and public transport adjustments with Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe AG (DVB) to mitigate inconvenience. Partial closures of the Dresden-Neustadt junction are also planned with timely traffic announcements.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and check for updates on traffic conditions. The road surface renewal is expected to improve safety and driving conditions in the long term.
