ADAC: Fill Up in the Evening to Save on Fuel
ADAC advises motorists to fill up in the evening to save money, as fuel prices often drop between 18:00 and 22:00. This tip comes as oil prices remained relatively stable in January, with Brent oil price hovering just below $80 for the first three weeks.
January saw minimal price fluctuations for both gasoline and diesel. Gasoline prices varied by only 2.1 cents throughout the month, while diesel prices fluctuated by 2.7 cents. The average diesel price in January was €1.706 per liter, up 1.1 cents from December. Similarly, the average Super E10 price in January was €1.732 per liter, an increase of 1.6 cents from the previous month. Fuel prices began 2023 without significant changes, reflecting the stable oil prices.
ADAC's recommendation to fill up in the evening can help drivers save money, given the typical evening price drops. Despite minor fluctuations, fuel prices in January remained relatively stable, reflecting the calm oil market.
