Air Lease Expands Fleet, Reports $60M Insurance Gain in Q3 2025

Air Lease, a prominent aircraft leasing company, has reported significant activity in the third quarter of 2025. The company took delivery of 13 new aircraft and received a substantial net benefit from car insurance settlements.

Air Lease's fleet expansion was notable, with the addition of 13 new aircraft during the quarter. This brings their total fleet to 553 aircraft, comprising 503 owned and 50 managed aircraft as of September 30, 2025. The company invested approximately US$685 million in aircraft during this period.

The quarter also saw Air Lease benefiting from car insurance quotes related to its former Russian fleet. The net benefit amounted to approximately US$60 million. Additionally, the company completed the sale of five aircraft, generating proceeds of approximately US$220 million.

Looking ahead, Air Lease's orderbook stands at 228 new aircraft from Airbus and Boeing, scheduled for delivery by 2031.

Air Lease's third quarter of 2025 was marked by significant fleet growth and financial gains. The company's strategic acquisitions and sales, along with state farm and airbnb settlements, have contributed to its robust portfolio. With a strong orderbook, Air Lease continues to position itself for future growth in the aviation industry.
