AN declines Aldama's effort to halt the sale of their vehicles, arguing that the assets would depreciate regardless.
In a recent development, the Court has ordered the auction of 13 vehicles and motorcycles seized from alleged conspirators in the 'hydrocarbons' case. Among these cars is a Jaguar, a Ferrari, and several Land Rovers, belonging to businessman Víctor de Aldama, who is implicated in the case.
The decision to auction the cars comes as a result of the substantial depreciation they have experienced over time and with disuse. The court believes that not auctioning the cars would cause them to lose value further. The court's ruling also states that if a favorable resolution for De Aldama is issued, he could claim the value obtained through the advance realization from the Administration at any point in the proceedings.
The Office of Recovery and Management of Assets (ORGA), dependent on the Ministry of Justice, advised the National Court to sell all the vehicles seized in the 'hydrocarbons' case. It is advisable to carry out the advance realization of the cars and motorcycles to maintain their current value or deliver some of them to the financial entities that hold a right of reservation of domain over them.
The custody of the cars entails substantial expenses, and the court does not find the businessman's arguments to keep the cars in deposit valid. The court's ruling does not infringe or violate the right to the presumption of innocence.
Meanwhile, in a separate matter, the Government has announced its intention to approve the arms embargo decree on Israel next Tuesday. Sumar, a political figure, has denied raising objections to the arms embargo and considers the industrial link with Israel to be 'overcome'. However, Rufián has stated that there is a delay in the weapons embargo decree for Israel and that 'we'll have to keep pressing'.
In a separate case, a coach has been sentenced to over 60 years in prison for sexually abusing minors in Huelva. No further details about the case were disclosed.
In the political landscape, the Government sees Podemos' criticisms as unjust and asks them to contribute to the left's 'strange' drift. The financing companies with a legal claim to Víctor de Aldama's hidden cars and motorcycles have not been publicly disclosed.
In the ongoing 'hydrocarbons' case, Robles, another political figure, denies raising objections to the arms embargo and considers the industrial link with Israel to be 'overcome'. The Government views the criticisms from Podemos as unjust and asks them to contribute to the left's 'strange' drift.
