announcingthe 14th recipients of the Women's Foundation Award by Belladonna
In a recent ceremony sponsored by several local businesses, Sabrina Bojazian, a health practitioner and entrepreneur, was awarded the 14th Belladonna Founderinnen Prize for her company, "Gesund im Tabakquartier." The practice, which specializes in orthopedics, massage, and natural medicine, is located in Bremen's vibrant Tabakquartier area.
The Tabakquartier, a significant urban development project, is transforming a former industrial site into a modern mixed-use neighbourhood, featuring offices, residential units, parks, gastronomy, cultural venues, a hotel, and childcare facilities [1]. Sabrina Bojazian's practice contributes to the health and wellness services offered in this dynamic urban environment.
Since establishing "Gesund im Tabakquartier" in the summer of 2021, Sabrina Bojazian has been caring for 655 patients [2]. Her innovative approach includes setting up a test center with 15 employees to help bridge difficult months during the Corona pandemic [3].
The Founderinnen Award aims to make women's entrepreneurship, their achievements, and especially their biographies more visible [4]. This year, the prize money for the Founders' Prize was 5,000 euros, with Sabrina Bojazian, the first-place winner, receiving this prize [5].
Sabrina Bojazian's osteopathy treatment focuses on the so-called zone technique, a holistic method that aims to give the body the chance to return to its normal, healthy functioning [6]. In addition to her professional life, she is also the mother of three daughters and is involved in voluntary work, including as the chairperson of the community council in Arsten-Habenhausen and offering boxing training for girls and women [7].
The Founderinnen Award is given to contribute to a more entrepreneur-friendly climate in Bremen and drive forward structural change [8]. Sabrina Bojazian's success story is a testament to this, as she has increased her income tenfold since establishing "Healthy in the Tobacco Quarter."
Other second-place candidates for the Founders' Prize include Lisa Rosemann, a freelance ceramist, and Sarah Mehler, a freelance advertising photographer [9]. Alina Esken, a graphic designer & illustrator, was the third-place winner [10].
