Osnabrück Economic Award 2025: Recognising Innovative Personnel Strategies
The Osnabrück Economic Award 2025 is set to honour companies that excel in innovative recruiting, exemplary onboarding, or outstanding personnel strategies. This year, the award will be presented in two categories: one for companies with more than 50 employees and another for companies with fewer than 50 employees.
The theme of this year's award ceremony is "Talent Magnet: Innovation Attracts," reflecting the growing challenge of skilled workforce acquisition in Germany. Niklas Sievert, Chairman of the Board of the VWO Association for Economic Development in Osnabrück e.V., believes the award will inspire companies to find solutions to central issues. Ingmar Bojes, Managing Director of the WFO Economic Development Osnabrück GmbH, shares this sentiment, stating that the theme of this year's award addresses an issue of great relevance to the economic location.
The application process for the Osnabrück Economic Award is open from April 1 to August 15, 2025. Interested companies and organizations can apply via the corresponding form on the Economic Award's website. For precise application details, it is recommended to visit the official Osnabrück University website or its economic or business faculty pages, or to contact the university directly via their official contact points for inquiries about awards and scholarships offered by the university. Alternatively, check for announcements or calls for applications on economic networks or foundations linked to Osnabrück University, as some awards might be administered externally.
The official award ceremony will take place on October 30, 2025, in the Osnabrück Halle. This year, the award will be presented in a new design for the first time. The winners of the Osnabrück Economic Award will receive various means for their public relations.
According to Niklas Sievert, the shortage of skilled workers is becoming a nationwide challenge, but there are companies in the Osnabrück region that exemplify how to master this challenge. Ingmar Bojes believes that the Osnabrück Economic Award appropriately honours and highlights the commitment of Osnabrück companies.
