BC PNP Issues 14 Entrepreneur Immigration Invitations on May 28
British Columbia's Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) recently held draws under its Entrepreneur Immigration streams on 28 May. Up to 14 invitations were issued, with varying cut-off scores, to foreign nationals keen on starting a new business or purchasing an existing one in the province.
The Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) Base stream issued 9 invitations with a cut-off score of 115, while the EI Regional stream had a cut-off score of 123 and issued fewer than 5 invitations. ITAs for the EI Base stream can be based on registration score, intended business location, business type, and alignment with priority sectors. Meanwhile, ITAs for the EI Regional stream are typically issued once per month to eligible entrepreneurs referred by a participating community.
This year, the BC PNP has held consistent draws under its entrepreneur streams, with a total of 8 nominations selections so far. In contrast, only one skills-based immigration draw has been held. The BC PNP aims to maintain normal processing times and prioritize targeted invitations, which may limit periodic ITAs for the EI Base stream based solely on score-ranking.
The BC PNP's Entrepreneur Immigration streams continue to attract foreign nationals eager to contribute to British Columbia's economy. With consistent draws and targeted invitations, the province welcomes entrepreneurs willing to start new businesses or operate existing ones, fostering growth and innovation.
