BERGER Bau SE Honored for 120 Years of Environmental Excellence

BERGER Bau SE, a family-owned business with a 120-year history, has been recognised for its environmental efforts. The Passau-based company, employing around 3,000 people across 100 European locations, focuses on renewable energies and sustainability. It has received a participation certificate from the Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact.

The company generates an annual turnover of €700 million and is committed to environmental protection. It was first certified according to the ISO 14001 environmental management standard in 1998. BERGER Bau SE implements measures related to electromobility, modern building technology, and sustainable waste management. Notably, the company is converting its operating site in Vilshofen from gas to district heating.

Mayor Andreas Rother officially presented the certificate to BERGER Bau SE's CEO Bernhard Hanis and environmental and sustainability officer Sophia Meixelsperger. The company offers training positions in Passau and is also present in Berlin as part of the Berger Holding group.

BERGER Bau SE's dedication to environmental and climate change protection has been acknowledged with the Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact participation certificate. The company's commitment to renewable energies and sustainable practices is evident in its operations and projects, contributing to a greener future.
