Bielefeld Authorities Crack Down on Black Work in Bad Salzuflen

Bielefeld Customs Office, along with other authorities, conducted a joint control action in Bad Salzuflen's city center on Thursday, September 25, 2025. The focus was to combat black work, illegal employment, ensure tax justice, and inspect occupational safety and public order.

During the operation, 32 employees were questioned about their employment conditions. The Finanzamt gained insights that are being reviewed, while the Ordnungsamt discovered minor violations like incorrect displays and fire protection deficiencies. Notably, 11 people in the mandatory ID-carrying sector were found without any ID documents.

The police encountered a 27-year-old driver without a driver's license and filed charges against both the driver and the vehicle owner. Although no significant immigration law violations were initially found, possible violations concerning the chamber of crafts are being reviewed. Sascha Gawenda, a contact person at the Hauptzollamt Bielefeld, is available for further information regarding these operations.

The security authorities have pledged to continue working closely together to combat black work, illegal employment, and enforce legal regulations. This collaborative effort aims to protect the economy, consumers, and increase safety in the city center.
