Bloomberg's Mina Kimes Wins Top Young Journalist Award at SABEW
Bloomberg News reporter Mina Kimes, aged 28, has been recognised for her exceptional work. She won the Larry Birger Young Business Journalist prize at the upcoming 51st annual conference of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW), set for March 29 at the Sheraton Phoenix Hotel.
Kimes' win is part of SABEW's 19th annual Best in Business Awards. This year, SABEW singled out a winner in each category for the first time. In the News Agencies Investigative category, Kelly Carr and Scot Paltrow took home the prize for their work on 'Unaccountable'. Notably, Carr and Paltrow were also finalists in the News Agencies Explanatory category for the same piece.
Bloomberg News and its related outlets led the pack with 13 honours. The New York Times followed with 8, Reuters with 7, American Banker with 6, and the Los Angeles Times and ProPublica with 5 each. Kevin G. Hall, SABEW's president, extended his congratulations to all the winners.
The awards ceremony will take place on March 29, celebrating excellence in business journalism. Mina Kimes' win in the Larry Birger Young Business Journalist category is a testament to her outstanding contributions to the field.
