Bonprix CEO Steps Down; Nicolai Johannsen Joins as CMO
Bonprix's CEO Torben Hansen will step down on October 31, following disagreements over the company's strategic direction. Until January 2026, the remaining board members will share Hansen's responsibilities. Nicolai Johannsen, currently at the Otto Group, will join Bonprix as chief marketing officer in January.
Hansen's role encompassed brand and content, digital marketing, European sales management, and people and organisation departments. His departure has led to a reshuffling of responsibilities among the remaining board members, who will temporarily take on his duties until January 2026.
Marcus Ackermann, an Otto Group executive board member, expressed confidence in Johannsen's leadership, stating that his experience and skills make him well-suited for the role at Bonprix. Johannsen has been with the Otto Group since 2011, holding various positions such as vice president of sales and vice president of consumer interactions. He has experience in reorganising sales divisions, expanding digital channels, and developing customer loyalty programs.
With Hansen's departure, Bonprix enters a transition period. The company's future lies in the capable hands of Johannsen, who brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record. His appointment as chief marketing officer is expected to strengthen Bonprix's marketing strategies and digital presence.
