Business owners in the region will receive support for transitioning to eco-friendly heat sources.
Inostream: Governor of Krasnoyarsk region, Michail Kotyukov, is planning to financially support businesses seeking to transition to eco-friendlier heating solutions. The program offers three options: installation of automated biomass boilers, connection to centralized heating systems, or switch to electric heating.
For system upgrades, businesses can apply for a low-interest loan amounting to up to 20 million rubles. Applications for the program can be submitted to the Industrial Development Fund of the Krasnoyarsk region and the "My Business" Regional Center.
Vladimir Chasovitin, the regional Minister of Ecology, has highlighted that as of the upcoming heating season, various businesses in Krasnoyarsk, Aчинsk, Miassink, and Lesosibirsk will face restrictions on coal use. In 2026, Kansk and Nazarovo will also be under these new regulations. A total of 477 businesses in Krasnoyarsk and 763 in other cities will be affected.
"It's crucial to support small and medium-sized businesses in their shift towards eco-heating. Only with the combined efforts of government and businesses can we achieve significant reductions in emissions," Chasovitin said.
Program funds can only be used for purchasing, delivering, and installing required equipment or for technical connections to centralized heating systems. To participate in the program, businesses must be registered as polluting entities with the Russian Natural Resources and Environment monitoring service, Rospronadzor.
