Car manufacturer Toyota Kirloskar Motor records a 3% increase in sales during July 2025, against the backdrop of a cutthroat commercial vehicle market.
In the ever-evolving Indian automotive market, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) and Maruti Suzuki have made significant strides, unveiling new models and demonstrating impressive sales figures.
Toyota's latest offerings include the upgraded Toyota Glanza, now featuring six airbags as a standard safety feature across all variants, making it an appealing choice for safety-conscious buyers in the premium hatchback segment. The Glanza is available for ₹6.90 Lakhs. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova Hycross, on the other hand, are priced at ₹11.34 Lakhs and ₹19.94 Lakhs, respectively.
The Limited Edition Prestige Packages for both the Glanza and Urban Cruiser Hyryder have received a favourable market response, indicating a successful strategy for Toyota to cater to the needs of its customers.
In a commendable safety move, the Toyota Innova Hycross secured a 5-star safety rating under the Bharat NCAP for both adult and child occupant protection, further solidifying its position as a safe and reliable vehicle.
TKM's sales performance in July 2025 reflects a 3% year-on-year growth, selling 32,575 units. This includes both domestic and export markets, with 29,159 units sold domestically. Year-to-date, TKM has sold an impressive 2,07,460 units, a 14% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Maruti Suzuki's offerings include the Maruti Suzuki Jimny, priced at ₹12.76 Lakhs, and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, available for ₹11.42 Lakhs.
Renault is also set to enter the fray with the upcoming Renault Bigster, expected to be priced between ₹13 - 18 Lakhs.
