Cardinal Health Acquires Solaris Health for $1.9B, Forming New Urology Alliance
Cardinal Health has finalized a deal to acquire Solaris Health for $1.9 billion. Post-merger, Cardinal Health will hold a 40% stake in The Specialty Alliance, a new entity formed to strengthen urology capabilities.
The Specialty Alliance will be led by physicians from Solaris and its management, who will also hold equity in the new company. Upon completion, Cardinal Health's stake will increase to 75%.
Solaris Health currently serves a vast network, including over 750 providers across more than 250 practices in 14 states. This acquisition aims to bolster Cardinal Health's urology offerings and expand its reach.
