Citroen Unveils New Strategic Plan, Fresh Sightings of New Bolero Surface, Additional Developments Reported

In an exciting turn of events, Yezdi Motorcycles has announced the launch of a revamped Roadster model on August 12, 2025. This update, while not a complete overhaul, brings cosmetic, ergonomic, and minor mechanical tweaks to the 2025 Yezdi Roadster.

The Roadster continues to use the 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled Alpha 2 engine, producing around 28.6 to 29.6 bhp and 29.9 to 30 Nm torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox and assist and slipper clutch. The updates include improved build quality, a slight increase in seat height to 795 mm, styling changes like a round LED headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, new paint options, and new factory customization kits offering over 200 accessories. It retains the twin-barrel exhaust with a chopped rear fender, twin-rod crash guards, and introduces new hardware such as Continental dual-channel ABS, hydroformed handlebars, and a new Farohar insignia on the fuel tank reflecting Yezdi’s heritage. Suspension tuning has been revised for better ride comfort.

The Yezdi Scrambler is expected to follow shortly after the Roadster with an update that includes the same updated Alpha2 engine as the Roadster and other mechanical improvements to enhance performance and rideability. The Scrambler has been seen testing, showing subtle changes like a new bronze-finished engine cover replacing the previous all-black one, but maintaining its overall silhouette and style.

These updates continue the trend seen in earlier Jawa 300 and Yezdi Adventure upgrades, focusing on improved build quality, better component fitment, refined ergonomics, and incremental engine tuning rather than complete redesigns or drastic changes. This shows a consistent approach by Classic Legends emphasizing refinement and better customer experience rather than radical new models for 2025.

Meanwhile, Citroen India has unveiled a new strategy called 'Citroën 2.0 - Shift Into the New' to enhance its market presence in the country. This strategy involves updated vehicle models, a broader retail network, and a more pronounced emphasis on customer experience. The C3, Aircross, and Basalt SUV models are being designed to cater to local driving requirements with significant contributions from Citroën's engineering teams in India. The strategy aims to achieve up to 98 percent localization.

In a separate development, Mahindra is set to launch a redesigned version of the Bolero Neo on August 15. The new-generation Bolero Neo will maintain a boxy profile, featuring circular headlamps and vertical tail lamps (temporary fixtures). A location for a tailgate-mounted, full-size spare wheel is apparent on the test vehicle, along with flush-fitting door handles. The updated model is expected to exhibit improvements in build quality, similar to recent updates across the Jawa and Yezdi lineup.

Here's a summary of the key updates for the Yezdi Roadster, Yezdi Scrambler, and the Jawa models:

| Model | Key 2025 Updates | Engine | Design/Hardware Highlights | |---------------------|---------------------------------------------------------|---------------------------|---------------------------------------------------| | Yezdi Roadster | Cosmetic refresh, improved build quality, suspension tuning | 334cc Alpha 2, ~29.6 bhp | LED lighting, twin-barrel exhaust, customization kits, new insignia | | Yezdi Scrambler | Updated Alpha2 engine, new engine cover, improved rideability | Same updated Alpha 2 | Maintains classic silhouette, bronze engine cover | | Jawa models (recent) | Focused on quality and component upgrades, refined interiors | Similar Alpha2 engine | Incremental improvements in fit and finish |

These updates reflect a focus on enhancing the user experience through refinement while keeping the core characteristics and engine architecture consistent across the lineup.

The 2025 Yezdi Roadster updates include cosmetic, ergonomic, and minor mechanical changes, while the Yezdi Scrambler is expected to follow with similar updates to its engine and hardware. This trend of focus on refinement across the Jawa and Yezdi lineup is also observed in the finance sector, as Citroen India unveils 'Citroën 2.0 - Shift Into the New', a strategy emphasizing updated vehicle models, a broader retail network, and a more customer-centric approach. In the automotive industry, Mahindra is set to launch a redesigned Bolero Neo with improvements in build quality, similar to recent updates seen in the Yezdi models. These developments hint at a lifestyle shift towards better quality and user experience across various sectors.
