City Council Criticizes City of Krasnoyarsk over Failed Tramway Concession
In the city council of Krasnoyarsk, there's a gripe about the mayor's office supposedly signing a faulty tramway concession with the company "Movista," disregarding warnings from deputies. This was according to the head of the LDPR faction, Semen Senderski.
Mayor of Krasnoyarsk, Vladislav Loginyov, spoke at the city council about their work in 2024, where he was asked about the current situation with concessions. The mayor responded that the administration is preparing to terminate the contract due to non-compliance with the conditions.
"Deputies from the previous session were against this agreement, but you signed it alone," Senderski reminded the mayor.
He noted that the city is now dealing with the repercussions of this decision: money and time were wasted, and the development of the tramway network, particularly in the direction of Solnechnoye, has stalled.
Loginyov admitted that "Movista" did not fulfill their obligations. He mentioned that the city provided all the conditions, but the company mismanaged their policy. The city authorities didn't listen to the deputies and still signed the agreement. Loginyov didn't specify why.
Now, the concession contract is being attempted to be rescinded in court. The city administration, however, does not renounce tramway development and plans to launch tracks across the Shinny Bridge.
Deputies, however, emphasize that the future of transportation in Solnechnoye is now uncertain. Additionally, they are curious about who will bear responsibility for the failed concession. Some deputies believe it's the fault of the mayor, who ignored warnings.
