The highly anticipated Martinshof project in Weingarten, a district of Ravensburg, finally commenced construction on August 4, 2021, following a two-year delay. Originally planned as early as 2016, the project's development was initially set to be undertaken by a company from Vorarlberg. However, due to a combination of the withdrawal of the first investor and the economic situation, the project faced a setback.

The site, previously an industrial area, was home to Schuler Pressen before its redevelopment. The first investor, the company from Vorarlberg, withdrew in 2021, paving the way for a new investor, the Berlin-based construction company BUWOG, to step in.

The Martinshof project will span an area of approximately 3.7 hectares and will feature around 500 rental and owner-occupied apartments, as well as commercial and retail spaces. The development will also include a neighbourhood square, adding to the community atmosphere of the project.

Despite the delay, the expected completion date for the first buildings remains unchanged, with occupancy expected by 2028. The delay did not affect the overall timeline, ensuring that the project will continue to progress as planned.

The Martinshof project was initially delayed due to an overlap with a similarly large residential construction project in Lindau. However, with the new investor at the helm, the project is now back on track and ready to make a significant contribution to the community of Weingarten.

The current investor in the Martinshof project is the family-run company Linder, based in Ravensburg, who took over the project following the withdrawal of the initial investor. Their expertise and commitment to the project will undoubtedly ensure its successful completion.

As the construction of the Martinshof project continues, the community of Weingarten eagerly awaits the arrival of this exciting new development, set to become a vibrant and thriving part of Ravensburg.

The new investor, BUWOG, based in Berlin, will be responsible for financing and investing in the Martinshof project, following the withdrawal of the initial investor. The Martinshof project, beyond providing housing and commercial spaces, will also involve investing in the development of a neighbourhood square, aiming to foster a sense of community.
