Mayor of the City of Koblenz, David Langner, stated that the new pedestrian and cycling bridge creates new opportunities for accessing the clinics, the administration center, and the Moselle baths. The bridge offers citizens more flexibility whether they are on foot, by bicycle, or by public transport.

The new train station and bridge are expected to encourage around 3,300 people per day to switch from cars to trains, contributing significantly to the city's climate protection goals. The benefit-cost analysis for the future train station indicates an economic benefit that is 33 times greater than the project's costs.
