Sparkasse Jena-Saale-Holzland, the market leader in the Jena region, is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. This role offers a unique chance to work independently in daily business, while implementing future-oriented methods and procedures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating balance sheet items in annual financial statements, including taxes, handling and monitoring securities transactions and deposits, and supporting the creation of the VAT advance return. They will also be required to support tasks within the notification system.

To be considered for this role, candidates should have a suitable qualification, such as being a certified accountant or tax clerk, or having completed a business economics degree with a focus on finance, accounting, and/or taxes. Prior experience in accounting, finance, or administrative support is often preferred.

Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, work structured, independently, and conscientiously. They should also be digitally savvy and master the corresponding IT applications and digital tools. Ideal candidates will also have knowledge of bank-specific legal regulations according to HGB, MaRisk, accounting standards, and tax law.
