Diversion of Buses on Bierstadter Street
In the heart of Wiesbaden, commuters will face some changes and detours on several bus lines due to ongoing construction work. As of August 18, 2025, the following alterations have been announced for bus lines 37, 17, 23, 24, and N11.
Bus line 37:
Due to the closure of Gustav-Stresemann-Ring and Patrickstraße, line 37 will undergo detours from August 8 to August 17. Passengers should anticipate changes at stops along these roads and should use alternative routes during this period. It is worth noting that this disruption follows a prior closure of Weingartenstraße in Igstadt from June 2 to June 6.
Bus line 17:
Line 17 will also be affected by the closure of Patrickstraße on August 8, causing detours along with lines 23, 24, 37, 49, and N11.
Bus lines 23 and 24:
Both lines are affected by the Patrickstraße closure on August 8. Additionally, line 24 experienced detours from June 4 to June 6 due to a full closure of Frauensteiner Straße.
Bus line N11:
Line N11 will be impacted by the closure of Patrickstraße on August 8.
The primary affected stops are those directly on Gustav-Stresemann-Ring and Patrickstraße, where closures enforce route adjustments. Alternative routes and stops are applied during the disruption, and ESWE Verkehr provides detailed maps and information on their website and apps for current detours and alternative stops.
For precise, stop-by-stop detour details and temporary alternative routes, passengers should consult the ESWE Verkehr website or their mobile app, which offer interactive route maps and up-to-date notifications on detours and stop changes.
In the direction of the city center, lines 17, 23, 24, and N11 will detour via Kirchbachstraße, Aukammallee, and Fichtestraße, following the route of line 18, back to the Bierstadter Straße. Line 37 trips towards the main station will stop at the "Hans-Bredow-Straße" stop after the New-York-Straße. Line 37 will detour via Patrickstraße and B455 after the "Zieglerstraße" stop, heading towards the "Berliner Straße" stop before returning to its regular route.
The nearest boarding and alighting points for lines 17, 23, 24, and N11 are at the "Wartestraße", "Hildastraße", and "Alwinenstraße" stops. Boarding inbound buses is possible at the "Alwinenstraße" stop to reach the "Fichtestraße", "Wartestraße", and "Plutoweg" stops. After serving the "Alwinenstraße" stop, lines will return to their regular route via Moltkering.
The replacement stop "Hans-Bredow-Straße" is located at New-York-Straße and serves line 37 towards the main station. During construction, the "Plutoweg", "Wartestraße", "Fichtestraße/Handwerkskammer", and "Hans-Bredow-Straße" stops will not be served by line 37.
For further information, passengers can refer to the timetable displays at affected stops or contact the responsible department or office with any questions.
