Don't overlook the upcoming 10th installment of Infraday!

The 10th anniversary edition of INFRADAY, a premier event for infrastructure investors, took place on October 5th, featuring 9 worldwide live sessions. The event, co-hosted by CIB and several other renowned organisations, brought together 42 speakers and panelists, located both on-site and remotely across various continents.

One of the key focuses of this year's event was advocating for a scientific approach to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations in infrastructure investments. EDHEC Infra, a leading player in the field, was at the forefront of this discussion.

The Paris session, hosted by CIB alongside Bettergrid, Engie, Green Yellow, and STOA Infra & Energy, delved into the macroeconomic and industry perspectives of the Biden Infrastructure Plan. Another Paris session discussed investment opportunities linked to the decarbonization of energy. Interviews with infrastructure experts such as A. Lestiboudois (Financing Partner, Antin Infrastructure Partners), Vincent Ruinet (Investment Director, Engie), A. Mannai (CSR Director and Chief Transformation Off., Green Yellow), and Benoit Theys (Head of Infrastructure Finance, AG Insurance) were also accessible online following the event.

The event in Paris also highlighted Core+ as a long-term alternative to mainstream infrastructure, with a session focusing on healthcare. Meanwhile, a session held in Hong Kong, co-hosted by CIB and several other organisations, focused on key developments in the waste sector. Resources on waste and circular economy, rail freight, EU decarbonization, and financing green hydrogen were made available in a digital library for download.

Rail freight and the European shift to rail plan by Radek Jan were also topics of discussion, with resources available for download. Replays of several interviews with infrastructure experts are available for viewing on the event's website.

In addition to the Paris and Hong Kong sessions, another session was dedicated to discussing investment opportunities in the decarbonization of energy. The event's digital contents, available in various formats (videos, audios, thematic studies), were also accessible for those who could not connect live.

The INFRADAY 2021 event featured a diverse range of guest speakers from companies such as CIB, Enfinium, First Sentier Investors, Macquarie/Green Investment Group, and Tribe Infrastructure Group. However, the search results do not provide information about other guest speakers at the event.

In conclusion, INFRADAY 2021 was a successful event that brought together industry leaders to discuss the future of sustainable infrastructure investment. The event's focus on a scientific approach to ESG, the Biden Infrastructure Plan, and the decarbonization of energy, among other topics, underscores the importance of these issues in the global infrastructure landscape.
