Dubai International Chamber inaugurates a new representative office in Dhaka, aiming to bolster economic ties with Bangladesh and position Dubai as a top global business hub by 2030. This move is part of the Dubai Global initiative and marks the Chamber's expansion to 35 international offices worldwide.

Located in the heart of Dhaka, the office will act as a vital link between the two economies, providing market intelligence, fostering stakeholder engagement, and facilitating investment. The launch event, attended by H.E. Abdulla Ali Abdulla Alhmoudi, UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh, and leading figures from Bangladesh's business community, emphasized the potential for mutually beneficial collaborations.

H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, expressed optimism about the growing markets in Bangladesh and the role the new office would play in building business connections and trade facilitation between the two countries.

The bilateral trade between Dubai and Bangladesh has shown a steady increase, with a 9% hike in 2024 reaching AED 6.3 billion. The increased interest from Bangladeshi businesses, reflected by the growing number of active Bangladeshi companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, underscores the fertile ground for lasting partnerships.

By serving as a bridge between the two economies, the Dhaka office aims to support Dubai-based companies in expanding their presence in Bangladesh and help Bangladeshi firms establish a stronger foothold in Dubai. This strategic move is in line with the Dubai Global initiative, which seeks to expand Dubai Chambers' international footprint and establish 50 global offices by 2030.
