During the summer break, Osnabrück reduces traffic on Martinistraße for extensive road maintenance work

The city of Osnabrück has announced a renovation project for Martinistraße, scheduled to commence on June 24 and conclude by August 3. Here's what you need to know about the traffic restrictions, bus detours, and alternative routes during this period.

Starting from June 24, the street will be closed inbound with a detour in place. Pedestrians can still pass through Martinistraße during the work. For inbound traffic on Martinistraße, a detour is signposted via Kurt-Schumacher-Damm, Straße Am Kirchenkamp, and Lotter Straße to Heger-Tor-Wall.

The construction site will be divided into six phases. The first three phases will take place on the inbound lane side, to be completed by July 13. During this time, inbound, stops at Heinrich-Lübke-Platz, Uhlandstraße, and Arndtplatz will not be served on lines M4/N4/X491/X492/X493.

Buses on lines M4/N4/X491/X492/X493 heading towards Neumarkt will take a detour via Am Kirchenkamp, Lotter Straße, Dielinger Straße, and Kamp. Lines 16 will also follow the route via Lotter Straße.

For buses on lines 19/N3, outbound traffic will use Lyrastraße, Kolpingstraße, Süsterstraße, Schlosswall, and Rehmstraße. Inbound, buses on lines 19/N3 will use Rehmstraße and Schlosswall. There may be a detour on lines 19/N3 between July 8 and 22.

Construction companies will work in two shifts and on weekends to complete the work in the given timeframe. Cyclists are advised to use Katharinenstraße as an alternative route in both directions.

For authoritative, detailed, and current information on the Osnabrück Martinistraße renovation, including schedule, traffic restrictions, and bus detours, we recommend checking the official website of the city of Osnabrück or its traffic management department, reviewing announcements from the local public transportation company (Stadtwerke Osnabrück or Verkehrsunternehmen Osnabrück), and consulting local news outlets or municipal press releases. If you would like, I can assist with conducting a direct search on those official sources to try to find up-to-date and precise renovation and traffic information.

During this renovation project, buses along lines M4, N4, X491, X492, X493 will take alternatively scheduled routes, affecting transportation within the city. Meanwhile, construction in the finance and industry sector promises to bolster the city's economic growth, with the project's successful completion expected by August 3.
