E-bike Rentals End in Ravensburg, Weingarten, and Oberschwaben Due to Velocity's Insolvency
E-bike rentals in Ravensburg and Weingarten have come to an end due to the insolvency of service provider Velocity. The cessation of Velocity's services has also led to the withdrawal of e-bike rentals in Oberschwaben. TWS, the operator of the twsRad service, has announced that it will collect and dismantle the e-bike stations in the coming weeks.
TWS has confirmed that the servers for twsRad have been shut down, making it impossible for users to rent e-bikes. Jenny Jungnitz, head of the Mobility and Traffic department at TWS, has expressed regret for the disruptions caused to twsRad users. She stated, 'We deeply regret the inconvenience caused by Velocity's insolvency. We are working diligently to find a suitable replacement partner.'
In the meantime, TWS has confirmed that it will be collecting 190 e-bikes and dismantling 25 stations in the coming weeks. The replacement partner for Velocity has been announced as nextbike. TWS has assured users that all other mobility offerings on the twsMobil platform remain unaffected and fully available via mobil.tws.de.
The insolvency of Velocity has led to the cessation of e-bike rentals in Ravensburg, Weingarten, and Oberschwaben. TWS has apologized for the disruptions and is working to find a replacement partner. The free Saturday bus ticket remains available via the twsMobil platform.
