New Bosses at e.optimum AG
Hello there! Let's chat about some changes happening at e.optimum AG. Frank Scherer steps up as the new chairman, while Markus Dauber joins as a fresh supervisory board member. Current board members Josef Erdrich and Jochen Weinzierl, serving since 2012, will bid farewell by the end of 2024.
e.optimum bids adieu with a mix of melancholy and excitement as important figures depart their supervisory board. Long-time Chairman Josef Erdrich, recognized for his humanitarian efforts in Nepal and honored with the Federal Cross of Merit, passes the baton to Frank Scherer. Markus Dauber assumes the position vacated by Jochen Weinzierl, who's been a member since 2012 and CEO of Perfect Living GmbH.
The new recruits boast impressive resumes. Frank Scherer, a lawyer by training, spent 16 years shaping Ortenaukreis as district administrator. Under his stellar leadership, he inspired projects, sustainable developments in healthcare, traffic infrastructure, digitalization, mobility, and international cooperation. Renowned for his forward-thinking approach and goal-oriented, team-oriented leadership style, he's left his mark on over 8,600 employees at the district administration and county operations. His commitment to people, the region, and the union of tradition and progress is evident in the corporate culture he's established.
Markus Dauber made a significant impact on the Volksbank in the Ortenau region as its chairman. With his leadership, the bank, now Volksbank eG - Die Gestalterbank, reached top positions in Baden-Württemberg and ranked number 3 nationwide. With decades of experience in top-level positions, he now supports several companies as an independent entrepreneur, consultant, and supervisory board member in areas like strategy consulting, finance, mergers and acquisitions, and digital added-value services. He is also the chair of the supervisory board of LEA Partners GmbH, a member of Cyberforum e.V., and engaged as a member of the Kuratorium and lecturer at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences.
From 2025, Frank Scherer and Markus Dauber join Klaus Gaiser (deputy) and Dr. Wolfgang Bruder at the top of the company. e.optimum expresses their gratitude to Josef Erdrich and Jochen Weinzierl for their excellent service.
