EMO Hannover 2025: Industry 4.0 Showcases Cutting-Edge Metrology & Automation

Industry 4.0 is set to make waves at EMO Hannover 2025, with companies like Renishaw and PI unveiling cutting-edge metrology and automation solutions. Meanwhile, 3D scanning and measurement technologies are advancing rapidly, as seen in Creality's new Sermoon S1 and Teledyne DALSA's Z-Trak Express 1K5.

Digital Twins are revolutionising industry by enabling real-time data integration for quality control and predictive maintenance. At EMO Hannover 2025, Renishaw will showcase its third-generation laser tool setters, the NC4+ Blue F100 and F100-10C, alongside a new dual-method gauging system and dedicated gauging software. PI's F-690.S1 SpaceFAB, a high-performance 6-axis positioning stage, will also be on display, promising high-speed precision automation.

In the realm of 3D scanning and measurement, Creality has launched the Sermoon S1, a professional-grade 3D scanner designed for precision applications. Teledyne DALSA's Z-Trak Express 1K5, a 3D laser profiler, is set to enhance in-line 3D measurement and inspection. Orbbec's Pulsar ME450, a 3D LiDAR sensor, can dynamically switch scanning patterns and adjust vertical fields of view. Phase3D's Fringe Inspection is now available for Renishaw 500Q and other 500-series platforms, providing high-resolution, layer-by-layer heightmaps for powder bed fusion users.

EMO Hannover 2025 promises to be a hub of innovation, with companies like WENZEL Group, Klingelnberg Group, Tebis, SCHUNK, Schaeffler, and Tezmaksan joining Renishaw and PI to showcase their latest metrology and automation solutions. These advancements, coupled with Digital Twins and 3D scanning innovations, are set to drive precision manufacturing forward.
