The Russian automaker Sollers has announced planned corporate vacations for its UAZ and Sollers Alabuga plants, with the breaks set to begin on July 28 and last approximately a week. The main purpose of these vacations is for equipment maintenance and work on investment projects [1][2].

Contrary to some rumours, the company has denied any forced shutdown of production. Meanwhile, the UAZ and Sollers Alabuga plants are not undergoing maintenance or vacation for as long as AvtoZavod Saint Petersburg and AvtoVAZ. The latter two plants have suspended their activities from July 28 to August 17 for technical maintenance, equipment repair, and production line modernization.

Interestingly, the vacation periods for AvtoZavod Saint Petersburg and AvtoVAZ are significantly longer than those for the UAZ and Sollers Alabuga plants. Despite this, the production of existing vehicles may be temporarily halted during the announced vacations, but the company's focus remains on the upcoming Citymax 8 launch.

Fortunately, the Citymax 8 launch by the company is not affected by the announced vacations. Sollers is still preparing for the launch of the new bus, with the company's preparations well underway this year, as previously noted.

In conclusion, while some of Sollers' plants are undergoing maintenance and vacations, the company is steadfast in its focus on the Citymax 8 launch this year. The planned breaks are primarily for equipment maintenance and work on investment projects, and there has been no direct link found between these breaks and the launch of the Citymax 8 or specific production line modernization related to that launch.

  1. The industry of automotive, particularly Sollers, schedules maintenance vacations for its UAZ and Sollers Alabuga plants, which is different from the extended shutdown in AvtoZavod Saint Petersburg and AvtoVAZ plants for technical maintenance and production line modernization.
  2. While the finance sector might support Sollers' decision for these vacations to maintain equipment and work on investment projects, the transportation sector eagerly awaits the launch of Sollers' Citymax 8, which is not affected by these breaks and is currently undergoing preparation this year.
