EUROMAT reaffirms Jason Frost as President, urging immediate measures to combat unlawful gambling activities.

Brussels, Belgium - May 22, 2025

At its annual gathering, the European Gaming and Amusement Federation (EUROMAT) reaffirmed its leadership team, with Jason Frost being re-elected as President, Uwe Christiansen as First Vice-President, and Karoly Buzás from the Romanian Slot Operators' Association (ROMSLOT) as Treasurer.

Mr. Frost expressed his gratitude for the trust from EUROMAT's members, emphasizing the organization's successful mission to create a more conducive business environment for the gaming industry. He highlighted the urgent need to combat the rapid growth of illegal gambling markets, which he deemed a significant concern due to the rising proliferation of unregulated channels and the potential risks to players.

In addition to confirming its executive committee, EUROMAT welcomed new members. The Association of Organizers of Gambling Games and Activities in Bulgaria (AOGGAB) joined as an association member, while Aristocrat and Sigma became corporate members. Furthermore, Damien McCoy of the Irish Amusement Trades Association (IATA) and Bernhard Teuchman of the Spanish association Club de Convergentes were elected as Executive Board Members.

As part of its ongoing advocacy efforts, EUROMAT seeks increased regulatory scrutiny and tangible initiatives from authorities to control the illegal gambling market. The federation operates with a goal of fostering collaboration between regulators, industry stakeholders, and member associations. It also champions digital consumer protection and the need for enforceable rules to secure the industry's future.

EUROMAT, initially established in 1979, serves as the voice of Europe's land-based gaming entertainment industry. The organization boasts a membership of 14 national associations across 11 European countries and eight corporate members.
