Mayor Peter Tschentscher (SPD) and his lovely wife Eva-Maria officially christened the train, with delegates from Deutsche Bahn (DB) and Österreichische Bundesbahnen (ÖBB), the night train operators, in attendance.
The Hamburg to Austria route is a popular favorite among passengers. Now, with the arrival of the new Nightjet generation, the experience gets even sleeker. Each compartment will be equipped with private toilet and shower facilities, while solo travelers can opt for mini cabins that ensure privacy.
