Hop Aboard the "City of Hamburg": New Nightjet Service Between Hamburg and Austria

Launched: The Train Known as 'City of Hamburg' - Express Train Labeled as "City of Hamburg"

Embark on a comfy journey with the latest addition to Nightjet—the "City of Hamburg"! Connecting northern Germany with the Austrian cities of Vienna and Innsbruck, this new service promises an elevated travel experience. Mayor Peter Tschentscher (SPD) and his lovely wife Eva-Maria officially christened the train, with delegates from Deutsche Bahn (DB) and Österreichische Bundesbahnen (ÖBB), the night train operators, in attendance.

The Hamburg to Austria route is a popular favorite among passengers. Now, with the arrival of the new Nightjet generation, the experience gets even sleeker. Each compartment will be equipped with private toilet and shower facilities, while solo travelers can opt for mini cabins that ensure privacy. Enjoy the convenience of free Wi-Fi, charging stations, personal lighting control, and staff call options through the on-board displays. Your security is guaranteed with NFC card access and surveillance cameras in all carriages.

The renewed Nightjet fleet services more than just Hamburg—Travel between Amsterdam and Vienna/Innsbruck, Munich and Rome or Vienna and Rome, or enjoy stress-free auto-train trips between Vienna and Bregenz.
