Facelift reveal for Honda Civic, with minor aesthetic modifications unveiled

The 2025 Honda Civic has undergone an impressive facelift, showcasing a range of notable changes both inside and out.

On the exterior, the Civic boasts a redesigned grille, a larger air dam, and a restyled front bumper with bold character lines. The front fog lights have been removed, replaced by improved LED headlights that Honda claims can maintain optimal visibility in foggy conditions. A new color-coded front spoiler has been added, and select trim levels now feature new 18-inch wheels.

Inside, the mid-range trim comes with a heated steering wheel as a standard feature, while the top-spec trim now features illuminated footwells. The AC vent surrounds have a matte chrome finish, and the trims now come with a more premium black finish for the roof and pillars. All trims come equipped with a wireless phone charger as standard.

The interior of the updated Civic facelift remains largely unchanged, with brushed metal trims around the air vents, a black headliner, and a 10.2-inch digital driver’s display. The suspension has been retuned for better ride quality with increased rigidity in some models, such as the Civic Si, enhancing torsional and bending stiffness.

However, it's worth noting that there is no confirmed plan or launch announcement for Honda to bring the high-performance Civic Type R to the Indian market. The strategy behind bringing the Civic to India is to attract driving enthusiasts, similar to the Volkswagen Golf GTI.

The updated Honda Civic is available in a new Seabed Blue paint option, and the hybrid powertrain, a 2.0-liter petrol-hybrid producing around 180-200 hp, remains unchanged but is the sole powertrain offered in some markets like Europe.

In summary, the 2025 Honda Civic facelift offers improved styling, enhanced tech, and suspension tuning without major powertrain updates, making it an exciting addition to the Indian market, albeit without the Civic Type R for now.
