Falstaff Aims for 10% Revenue Boost to €45M by 2025, Expanding Across Europe
Falstaff, the Austrian gourmet and lifestyle publisher, has ambitious plans for expansion and growth. The company, led by publisher Wolfgang Rosam, aims to increase its revenue by 10% to around 45 million euros by 2025. Falstaff also plans to be present in at least twelve European countries within the next five years, including Spain, Serbia, and the southern Balkan states.
Falstaff believes in the power of content and is leveraging AI to enhance its offerings. The company aims to grow its subscriber base from 85,000 to 100,000 in the next two years. In 2024, Falstaff's revenue was around 41 million euros, with almost 10 million coming from Germany. The company's EBITDA was around 8%.
Falstaff offers a 360-degree spectrum of services, including events, social media, and videos, in addition to its print publications. The company employs 170 people and has a reach of 2.4 million readers in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
In May 2024, Lower Austria-Wienna Raiffeisen Holding acquired a 25.1% stake in Falstaff. The company has also closed a partnership with Mazda, including a gala event, print agreement, and digital offerings.
