FIDIC CEO Dr Nelson Ogunshakin Steps Down After Six Years
Dr Nelson Ogunshakin has stepped down as CEO of FIDIC after six years at the helm. The news was revealed to the FIDIC Board in March 2024. Despite the change, FIDIC expects a smooth transition, with its dedicated staff and volunteers maintaining the organization's positive momentum. Dr Ogunshakin's decision comes after a successful tenure marked by his leadership and contributions. Outgoing FIDIC president Catherine Karakatsanis expressed her appreciation for his service. While a new CEO has not been officially announced, Alfredo Ingletti has been elected as the new president, taking over from Karakatsanis. FIDIC's future leadership remains uncertain, with no immediate successor to Dr Ogunshakin named. However, the organization's strong staff and volunteers, coupled with Ingletti's election as president, suggest a stable path forward.
