Fifty-year legacy of Boggeri: Serravalle Outlet and Saiwa stand as its "gems"
Rewritten Article:
Life's a journey, and it's up to us to hop aboard the right trains. We may not know where they'll lead or if they're the best choices, but daring is the only way to move forward, sometimes even at the risk of being wrong. Kudos to our workers, first and foremost. That's Andreino Boggeri, leading the familia-run building company bearing his name. The Boggeri company has construction credentials that rival seasoned veterans, from erecting the Serravalle Outlet, a Novi Ligure neighborhood (Euronovi), to the Capriata d'Orba Saiwa plant, where Europe's biggest biscuit oven hums today. Not half bad for a construction company born in the courtyard of a family home fifty years ago.
It started in March 1975, when three visionary brothers – Marco, Gino, and Andreino – joined forces to start a small construction company with a concrete mixer in the family courtyard and a straightforward company setup. Gino, the visionary, convinced Andreino and Marco to take the leap. Their father, Giovanbattista, also invested, as did their mother Ida, who recently closed her haberdashery to help the fledgling company.
The beginning was rough: just a truck and a small crane – the first purchases of Andreino and Giovanni Battista – represented their initial foray into the competitive construction market. The support of Ida, their dedicated mother, was crucial during this testing phase.
The early years were arduous. Amidst established competitors, our team persevered, holding our own by emphasizing professionalism and dedication. In essence, our quality offerings took a leap forward in 1978, as a series of natural events sparked investments in disaster mitigation measures, pushing municipalities to beef up their defenses.
Throughout the 1980s, our company weathered recessions, persevering like long-distance runner Andreino Boggeri (who'll run the Porte di Pietra ultra trail in less than a month). In 1983, our hard work paid off with the Saiwa plant contract in Capriata, which was then under construction. By establishing an operational base in Arquata, we found the boost we needed, while always keeping our heart in the valley we call home.
On the company's 50th anniversary, we'll gather with employees and institutions in June to celebrate modestly, in the Boggeri way.
