In a strategic move, EuroFin Asia, a Singapore and Hong Kong-based independent service provider, has announced the appointment of Catherine Husin as Finance Manager. The company, which primarily serves medium-sized enterprises and industries in Asia, aims to position itself as an Asia-based, independent leader in the industry.

Catherine Husin brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having recently completed her MBA at the National University of Singapore. Prior to joining EuroFin Asia, she spent four years at KPMG International in Jakarta, where she held a number of increasingly senior auditing positions. Husin also completed an internship at the Association of Banks in Singapore.

In her new position, Husin will be responsible for all group financial reporting, treasury, and accounting, with a focus on fund management activities. This includes the management of the recently launched asset-backed lending fund by EuroFin Asia Group, the holding company of EuroFin Asia and EuroFin Investments.

EuroFin Investments, a Singapore boutique hedge fund manager, focuses on making alternative investments in asset-backed trade and structured trade finance transactions. The company has also launched an Asia Islamic TF fund.

EuroFin Asia Group operates in Asian emerging markets and offers a range of services including private equity participations, alternative finance, treasury services, forfaiting, offset and countertrade operations, and integrated advisory solutions in trade, structured trade, project and commodity finance.

The LH Asian Trade Finance Fund has also launched a new facility. A steel producer has agreed to a trade revolver, demonstrating the wide range of clients that EuroFin Asia serves.

While Catherine Husin may not be widely recognised in public sources, her expertise in auditing and finance makes her a valuable addition to the EuroFin Asia team. The Alternative CTF fund is still considered peripheral, but with Husin's leadership, it is expected to grow and contribute to EuroFin Asia's continued success in the industry.
