Fine imposed on Nizhny Novgorod transportation company for multiple infractions
In a series of inspections conducted by the Center for Transport System Development, several bus companies in Nizhny Novgorod were found to be in violation of various regulations.
The inspections, which took place recently, covered a total of 295 buses from companies such as "Nizhny Novgorod Electric Transport", "Trans-NN", "Konka", "Meshcheryakov and Company", LLC "Stolitsa-Avto", "Nizhny Novgorod Passenger Auto Transport", and "Arzamas Passenger Auto Transport".
The common violations discovered during these inspections included a lack of audio passenger announcements for stops, absence of fixed fare terminals, dirty vehicles, damaged seat upholstery, and non-compliance with vehicle branding requirements. These breaches resulted in a total of 2826 missed trips as per the schedule.
The companies were issued fines amounting to 2.3 million rubles for these violations. It is worth noting that the placement of advertisements on buses was not specifically mentioned in the list of violations.
Alena Chernyshova, a specialist from the information support group at GKB NO "CRTS", announced the findings on social media. She also reported that previously, the movement of several buses was disrupted in Nizhny Novgorod.
The inspections were part of the 54 inspections conducted by the Center for Transport System Development since the beginning of the year. A total of 5736 violations were found during these inspections.
For authoritative details on bus ad regulations and violations in Nizhny Novgorod, it is advisable to contact the Nizhny Novgorod city transport department or municipal advertising regulatory agency. Their rules are often aligned with broader Russian federal and regional legislation but might include local particularities not found in general sources.
- The center's inspections, revealed on social media by Alena Chernyshova, have also highlighted potential opportunities for the news industry to cover stories about public-transit violations in the finance sector, particularly the monetary penalties imposed on companies like "Nizhny Novgorod Electric Transport" and "Trans-NN" for non-compliance with vehicle branding requirements.
- With the growing concern for the state of transportation in Nizhny Novgorod's public-transit industry, it would be interesting for the finance industry to analyze the impact of these violations on the overall efficiency of the bus system, affecting areas such as transportation scheduling and revenue losses due to missed trips, like the 2826 mentioned in the recent inspections.
