Fischenich District Heating Expansion: Key Street Closure Until October 3rd
Fischenich residents and commuters should expect some changes as the district heating network expands. Eric Marx, the project manager, is overseeing the work, which aims to connect more households to the environmentally friendly system. The extension is set to last until October 3rd, with a full closure of a key street to through traffic.
The construction site is located on 'Am Druvendriesch', from the 'Gennerstraße' access road to house number 8a. During this time, through traffic will be diverted via a suitable detour, which has been clearly signposted. Local traffic, however, can still reach the construction site.
Pedestrians and cyclists can continue to use the area without any restrictions. The 'Rebenfeld' street can only be accessed via the 'Platzstraße' during the construction phase. Hürth City Works has apologized for any inconvenience caused and urges drivers to follow the detour.
The expansion of the district heating network in Fischenich is expected to ensure a future-proof energy supply for the area. The project is facing extensive work and obstacles in the ground, leading to the extended construction phase. Residents and commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow the signposted detours.
