Franchisee of Walk-On's unveils a fresh restaurant enterprise
R&R Brands Expands its Restaurant and Entertainment Empire
R&R Brands, a new restaurant group based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is making waves in the industry under the leadership of Scott Taylor and the backing of Shane Morrison's Morrison Companies. This dynamic duo is steering the company towards growth, with a focus on exceptional restaurant and entertainment concepts.
The group manages nearly 50 locations across seven states, providing strategic operational, marketing, finance, and systems support without compromising each brand's unique identity. R&R Brands' portfolio includes some notable names: Party Fowl, Cody's Original Roadhouse, Santa Fe Cattle Co., Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux, and Celebrity Theatres.
Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux, one of the faster-growing sports bar chains in the country, is also part of R&R Brands' portfolio. In 2017, Morrison Companies signed a deal to develop 30 Walk-On’s locations in six states.
Cody's Original Roadhouse, a "throwback roadhouse" with seven locations, is another brand under R&R Brands. The company's movie theater operation, Celebrity Theatres, operates two units.
R&R Brands is actively pursuing growth through acquisitions and new partnerships. The group recently doubled down on its Louisiana roots with a new Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux location in Central Louisiana, reinforcing its regional expansion efforts. The company's ongoing development and potential new brand additions are suggested by its extensive restaurant footprint of nearly 50 venues.
Moreover, R&R Brands is known for its focus on hospitality, operations, and execution. The company is not actively pursuing more acquisitions but is open to "select partnerships" that fit its values. In fact, R&R Brands is currently onboarding three other "strategic brands," but did not provide further details.
The two-unit Party Fowl, previously under a different ownership, was acquired out of bankruptcy late last year by North Carolina-based Cherry Bounce Hospitality. Party Fowl is now under the ownership of R&R Brands. Scott Taylor, a former Walk-On's executive, is the CEO of R&R Brands. He was also the CEO of Party Fowl before it was acquired.
System sales for Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux rose 4.2% in 2024, according to Technomic. This growth underscores the success of R&R Brands' strategy in supporting exceptional restaurant concepts with strong operational integrity and long-term value creation.
In summary, R&R Brands, under Scott Taylor’s leadership and Shane Morrison’s backing, is a multi-brand restaurant and entertainment group with a growing presence primarily in the southern and central U.S. The company is focused on expanding its portfolio both organically and through strategic partnerships.
