Fresh personnel at BHV - Bremen Port and Logistics Agency - Recognized names joining the team
The Bremen-Hamburg Association (BHV), which represents over 220 companies from the logistics, port, and transport sectors in the Greater Bremen and Bremerhaven area, has announced some changes in its management.
Eduard Dubbers-Albrecht, a seasoned veteran in the Bremen economy, has been appointed as the new president and spokesperson of the BHV. Mr. Dubbers-Albrecht, who previously served as the president of the Bremen Chamber of Commerce, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new role. His advocacy for the interests of the Bremen economy has been a driving force behind many significant developments in the region.
In addition to Mr. Dubbers-Albrecht, the new managing board of the BHV includes Dr.-Ing. Patric Drewes, Christoph Holtkemper (who remains the treasurer), Jens Juknischke, Patrick Rehberg, Stefan Schultze, and a newly appointed secretary, Stefan Meyer. Carsten Wendt, a specialist in RoRo shipping, high & heavy, and breakbulk, also joins the board, bringing fresh impulses from the younger generation.
Mr. Wendt, who is the head of sales at the Wallenius Wilhelmsen shipping company in Bremen, aims to advance RoRo shipping and the areas of high & heavy and breakbulk with his expertise. His addition to the board is expected to strengthen the BHV's focus on these key sectors.
The departure of Christoph Bruns and Werner Pöser from the BHV's board was also announced. Their long-standing commitment to the association was praised by Dr.-Ing. Patric Drewes for the significant development of the BHV.
The BHV is actively involved in various events and initiatives. It partners at the annual LogisticsConnect trade fair, contributing its expertise in breakbulk and project logistics. The association also organizes events such as the Captain's Day, expert dialogues, and working groups on topics like digitalization, sustainability, further education, and personnel.
