Fuel costs reach their lowest point in September since the year 2021.

Fuel prices in September 2024 have witnessed a significant drop, with the most expensive day of the month, the first, seeing Super E10 priced at 1.691 euros per liter and diesel at 1.577 euros. However, the prices for both fuels have since lowered, reaching their lowest levels in nearly three years.

The current trend at the pumps is largely attributed to the international oil prices and the stable euro exchange rate. The ADAC, a German automobile association, has also attributed this positive trend to the same factors.

In the past month, the average price for a liter of diesel was 1.544 euros, similar to prices in 2021. The average price for a liter of Super E10 was 1.650 euros, the lowest level since December 2021.

On September 18th, diesel was available for 1.523 euros per liter, and the cheapest day to fill up Super E10 in September was on the 18th, with a price of 1.632 euros per liter.

The relatively stable euro exchange rate of about 1.11 US dollars also helps to keep fuel prices in check. Meanwhile, the price for a barrel of Brent crude oil is currently around 72 US dollars, similar to the end of 2021.

However, a reliable forecast for fuel prices is not possible due to the volatile nature of the oil market. The ADAC predicts that whether this positive trend will continue depends largely on international oil prices.

Motorists can hope for the trend of decreasing fuel prices to continue, but it is essential to stay informed about any changes in the market. Unfortunately, there is no information available about which gas station in Offenbach am Main offered the cheapest prices for Super E10 and Diesel on September 18, 2024.
