Fuerth's 2025 Bike to Work Campaign Sets New Records
The 2025 Bike to Work campaign in the district of Fuerth has concluded, with impressive results highlighting the region's commitment to sustainable mobility. The campaign saw a significant increase in participation and kilometers cycled compared to the previous year.
Oberasbach emerged as the most active municipality, covering a total of 67,917 kilometers. The 'Obermichelbach Express' team led the way in kilometers per capita, with an impressive 1,747 kilometers per person. Meanwhile, the Velogroup Großhabersdorf team cycled the most kilometers overall, covering 30,618 kilometers with 91 members.
Hans Stockert from Obermichelbach was the most active cyclist, logging an impressive 2,211 kilometers. In the School Bike to Work campaign, Gymnasium Stein won with 194 students cycling a total of 27,756 kilometers.
The 2025 Bike to Work campaign involved 2,372 active cyclists from 123 teams across 13 municipalities, covering a total of 411,449 kilometers. District administrator Bernd Obst attributes the campaign's success to the community's emphasis on sustainable mobility.
