Future of Automotive Industry in Europe: Projected Demand for Vehicles and Final Vehicle Logistics from 2020 to 2030 Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

The European vehicle market is gearing up for a recovery, but the road ahead is expected to be bumpy due to challenges from both demand and supply sides. A new report, titled "ECG Business Intelligence," aims to provide valuable data and analysis to help navigate these turbulent times.

This joint project, created by the company ECG and the Association of European Vehicle Logistics (ECG), offers insights into the vehicle logistics sector's response to the crisis and the future of the European vehicle market until 2030.

The report provides monthly forecasts of 2020 vehicle registrations for the European region and the top five sales markets: Germany, UK, France, Italy, and Spain. It also discusses new processes and technology requirements in the vehicle logistics sector, which are being accelerated by the coronavirus crisis.

Capacity and footprint changes, digital transformation of sales, delivery, and planning are some of the changes the report highlights in the vehicle logistics industry. Most European markets are expected to end restrictions on vehicle sales by the end of May, allowing for production and distribution to resume.

The report also provides a long-term outlook until 2030 for European vehicle registrations. With the European automotive market and vehicle logistics sector gradually lifting restrictions, the industry is expected to play an important role in the recovery of the market.

In addition to market and regulatory issues specific to the vehicle logistics sector, the report includes key insights and analysis on vehicle logistics. It is a valuable resource for ECG members and partners, offering them a comprehensive understanding of the current state and future direction of the European vehicle market.

The collaboration for the report is between the Association of European Vehicle Logistics (ECG) and Automotive from Ultima Media. This new joint initiative is set to provide a wealth of information and analysis to those working in and with the vehicle logistics sector.
