GAC Nio Unveils Membership Services and Transparency Initiative
GAC Nio, established in 2018 by William Li and Liao Bing, has unveiled its membership services and a transparency initiative. The company, jointly owned by GAC Group and Nio, aims to enhance customer experience and set a new standard in the automotive industry.
GAC Nio introduced three membership tiers: S, U, and V. The basic S Membership offers lifetime OTA upgrades, unlimited bandwidth, and free home charging station installation for a limited period at a nominal fee of RMB 1.
U Membership, priced at RMB 4,499 during the first year, includes six types of insurance and free maintenance. The premium V Membership, available for RMB 6,499, builds upon U Membership, adding value-added entertainment and travel services.
In a groundbreaking move, GAC Nio founder Liao Bing revealed the bill of materials for the GAC Nio 007, making it the first automaker to do so. The battery pack, priced at RMB 111,545, is the most expensive component, followed by the integrated electric drive unit at RMB 9,559.
GAC Nio also announced that it will cap hardware profits at 1%, with any excess being returned to customers. Furthermore, the company will roll out its latest CAN AI OS, enabling smarter in-car communication, via an OTA upgrade starting September 10.
GAC Nio's membership services provide customers with comprehensive coverage and innovative features. The company's transparency initiative, including the disclosure of the GAC Nio 007's bill of materials and the 1% hardware profit cap, sets a new precedent in the industry. With the rollout of the latest CAN AI OS, GAC Nio continues to enhance its offerings, solidifying its position as a leader in the electric vehicle market.
