Global Law Firm Announces Promotions Across Multiple Practice Areas

A leading global law firm has announced the promotion of several lawyers to partner and director positions, effective from January 1, 2022. The promotions span 11 practice areas, including litigation and disputes, corporate, M&A and securities, banking and finance, intellectual property, employment and labor, tax, real estate, projects, antitrust and competition, and information governance, privacy and cybersecurity.

Notable promotions include Nathan Baum in the litigation and disputes practice area, based in Dallas; Louisa Roe in the real estate practice area, based in London; Helen Fairhead in the antitrust and competition practice area, also in London; and Rachel Chan in the corporate, M&A and securities practice area, based in Hong Kong.

The firm has also emphasised its ongoing gender diversity target, aiming for 40% women in various roles, including partnership, leadership, lawyer promotions, lateral additions, and senior business services hires. Twenty-three of the promoted lawyers are women, representing 43% of the total promotions.

In Australia, Kate Green, Harriet Oldmeadow, and Nick Sinclair were promoted in the practice areas of litigation and disputes (Sydney) and banking and finance (Perth).
