Globally, our website spotlights 54 lawyers as partners in its 2022 selection.

Global law firm X has announced the promotion of 54 lawyers to partner and director positions, effective January 1, 2022, in various locations worldwide. The promotions cover 11 practice areas, with the majority being in litigation and disputes.

The promotions were made across multiple practice areas, including banking and finance, intellectual property, corporate, M&A and securities, employment and labor, tax, real estate, projects, antitrust and competition, bankruptcy, financial restructuring and insolvency, and information governance, privacy and cybersecurity.

In Europe, Veit Sahlfeld was promoted in the practice area of banking and finance, based in Hamburg, while Annabelle Wheeler was promoted in litigation and disputes, based in Munich/London. Bernd Dreier was promoted in corporate, M&A and securities, based in Munich. In the UK, Louisa Roe was promoted in real estate, and Alex Zekkos was promoted in banking and finance.

In the United States, Eric Green was promoted in intellectual property, based in Austin, while Jared Kaplan was promoted in corporate, M&A and securities, based in New York. Fiona Henderson was promoted in banking and finance, based in New York, and Victoria Corder was promoted in litigation and disputes, also based in New York. Rebecca Winthrop was promoted in bankruptcy, financial restructuring and insolvency, based in Los Angeles. Rafe Schaefer and Justin Coddington were promoted in litigation and disputes, based in Houston.

In Canada, Robin Acworth, Veronique Barry, Scott Boucher, Brian Chau, Matthew Choi, Jenna Anne de Jong, Russell Dufault, Alison FitzGerald, Caroline Jodoin, Jonathan Lafrance, Brigitte LeBlanc-Lapointe, Jennifer McPherson, Brian Milne, Fahad Siddiqui, Joshua Sprague, Nikita Stepin, Tim Stewart were promoted in various practice areas.

In Asia, Rachel Chan was promoted in corporate, M&A and securities, based in Hong Kong, and Daniel Ng was promoted in litigation and disputes, based in Hong Kong. Rebecca Abou-Chedid was promoted in projects, based in Washington, DC, United States.

Twenty-three of the promoted lawyers are women, representing 43% of the total. Geraldine Young, Kimberly Cheeseman, Claudia Posluschny, and Zayba Drabu were promoted in litigation and disputes, based in Houston, New York, Munich, and London, respectively. Marianne McMahon was promoted as general counsel, based in London. Anna Rudawski was promoted in information governance, privacy and cybersecurity, based in New York.

Gerry Pecht, Global Chief Executive of the law firm, congratulated the promoted lawyers and praised their industry knowledge, business acumen, and innovative solutions. Matthew Buckle and James Lockwood were also promoted in litigation and disputes, based in London. Blake Redwine was promoted in corporate, M&A and securities, based in Dallas. Helen Fairhead was promoted in antitrust and competition, based in London.
