Goldman Sachs Announces Leadership Changes: Coleman New CFO, Sicking Joins Asset Management
Goldman Sachs has revealed a series of leadership shifts. Denis Coleman, previously a high-ranking executive at the firm, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from Stephen Scherr. Meanwhile, Jan Sicking joins Goldman Sachs Asset Management as an Executive Director to fortify the sales team.
Coleman, who has held increasingly responsible positions at Goldman Sachs, including serving as deputy head of the global financing group, will succeed Scherr at the end of the year. David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs, lauded Scherr's work ethic and dedication to the firm during his 28-year tenure. Scherr's next career move remains undetermined.
Sicking, who began his career in currency research at DZ Bank in 2011 and later worked at Blackrock for seven years, will focus on engaging with large fund investors and expanding services for asset managers. Oliver Rahe, head of retail business, anticipates Sicking's expertise to further grow the firm's services and specialize client service.
Denis Coleman's strong judgment and operational skills, as commended by David Solomon, make him a strong candidate to succeed Scherr as CFO. Jan Sicking's appointment is expected to bolster the sales team and expand services for fund investors and asset managers.
