Homegrown life insurer, HDFC Life, smashes records by doling out a whopping Rs. 4102 crore bonus in 2025, benefiting over 21.90 lakh policyholders. This mega bonus marks the insurer's highest-ever payout, making it a spectacular milestone, especially as it comes on the heels of its 25th anniversary!
Appointed Actuary of HDFC Life, Eshwari Murugan, gleefully declared that a portion of this bumper total - Rs. 3232 crore - will be paid out in the current financial year as survival or maturity benefits. The rest will accrue as policy benefits and will be disbursed in subsequent financial years.
The annual bonus, previously doubling every four years, now reflects the insurer's unwavering growth and the impressive performance of their with-profits fund. Over the years, HDFC Life has declared cumulative bonuses worth more than Rs. 22,500 crore across eligible participating policies, a testament to their continued commitment to rewarding loyal policyholders.
When asked about this epic achievement, Eshwari Murugan shared her excitement, stating, "I'm thrilled to announce this record-breaking bonus from HDFC Life.
