In July 2025, Portugal's luxury real estate market saw a surge in demand, with several regions standing out as the most sought-after locations for high-end properties.

According to a recent analysis of 142,398 residential listings, the top regions with the highest percentage of luxury home listings are:

  1. Lisbon District Lisbon leads the way in luxury home searches, with 11.1% of its listings priced above €1 million. The city offers a wide variety of properties with gardens and pools, making it an attractive choice for luxury home buyers.
  2. Setúbal District Setúbal follows closely behind Lisbon, with 8.6% of its residential listings classified as luxury homes. The district's strong demand for luxury properties reflects its high-end appeal.
  3. Algarve's Golden Triangle Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo, and Vilamoura, collectively known as the Algarve's Golden Triangle, are Portugal's most prestigious addresses for luxury living. These exclusive areas offer villas near golf courses and beaches, making them a popular choice for luxury home buyers.
  4. Cascais and Estoril (Portuguese Riviera) Located on the Portuguese Riviera, Cascais and Estoril offer luxury sea-facing properties and high-end amenities. These regions are in high demand, thanks to their proximity to Lisbon.
  5. Sintra Sintra is another attractive luxury market, situated close to Lisbon. Its luxury properties add to the region's appeal, making it a desirable location for high-end buyers.
  6. Comporta and Melides Comporta and Melides are known for their exclusive and nature-integrated luxury homes. These regions attract prominent buyers who appreciate the combination of luxury and natural beauty.

The Algarve region has the highest percentage of luxury listings, with nearly one in five listings. Madeira, Portalegre, Braga, the Alentejo's Beja district, and Évora district also have significant percentages of luxury properties.

He also emphasized the importance of understanding regional differences in luxury real estate distribution for buyers and investors seeking high-end opportunities.
