Hyundai and Genesis Offer Aid for Hurricane Victims: Charitable Contributions and Assistance Provided
In response to the devastating impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Hyundai and Genesis have announced a multifaceted relief program aimed at providing immediate humanitarian aid and financial relief for affected communities, owners, and customers in the southern region.
The automotive giants have pledged a total of $500,000 in donations to various organisations, including the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity of Florida, Feeding Florida, United Way of the Coastal Empire, United Way of Southeastern Georgia, Habitat for Humanity of North Carolina, The Salvation Army of Savannah, Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, and Statesboro Food Bank.
José Munoz, President and Global COO of Hyundai Motor Company, expressed the company's commitment to supporting customers, dealers, and communities as they begin the journey back to recovery. He stated, "Hyundai is here to offer support."
The relief efforts extend beyond monetary donations. Hyundai and Genesis are offering a range of benefits to affected individuals. For instance, Florida hurricane victims can take advantage of a $2,000 cash rebate on all new 2024-2025 Genesis models, and a $1,000 cash rebate on all new 2024-2025 Hyundai models.
In addition, Hyundai Motor Finance and Genesis Finance are providing financial hardship support options to affected customers who contact them. A 90-day payment deferral on all APR contracts financed through these entities is also available for Florida hurricane victims.
Furthermore, Hyundai is extending the availability of towing/roadside assistance for Florida hurricane victims. For those who purchase a new Hyundai or Genesis vehicle and whose vehicles were damaged by the hurricanes, the company is offering insurance deductible support, up to $500.
The program also includes direct customer relief, which may involve service assistance, repair support, or other benefits for owners of Hyundai vehicles impacted by the hurricanes. Hyundai is collaborating with local community groups and government agencies to ensure coordinated and effective delivery of aid and resources to those in need.
Hyundai is deeply committed to helping communities affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The company's comprehensive approach to disaster relief demonstrates its dedication to supporting those in need during these challenging times.
