Industrial complex in Almaty to launch six new manufacturing facilities by year's end
Let's dive into the vibe in Almaty's industrial scene!
It's a buzzin' beehive of activity over in Almaty's Nauryzbai district—especially on Zhandosov Street, where six fresh production facilities are expected to fire up by year's end! That's what Baglan Dandybayev, the deputy akim of the Nauryzbai district, shared during a recent online briefing on the local communication platform, as reported by Almaty.tv.
Baglan shared some impressive numbers: the production volume stands at a whopping 4.1 billion, retail turnover rockets to 5.8 billion, and wholesale turnover hits 1.5 billion. This industrial park's revitalization? A collaboration with TОO "Almaty Finance," which breathed new life into previously idle enterprises.
Currently, the park's already thriving with facilities churning out office supplies, leather goods, furniture, and even medical-grade furniture! Even more exciting? Five new productions have found their homes in this industrial playground, with another six set to join the party by the year's end.
But that's not all! Dandybayev also dropped some exciting news about TОО "Brot Master" in the Kalakaman microdistrict, where work has commenced on a previously idle production facility. Three production lines—beverages, a bakery, and a coffee roasting facility—are already running. Plans are in the works to construct new production facilities covering 4200 square meters on this land plot.
Under state programs like the "Program for the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship for 2017-2021 "Enbek" and "Roadmap for Employment," projects are being implemented left and right. And the investments are pouring in, with a whopping 57.1 billion invested in the district during the first eight months of 2020 alone—that's a 72% increase over the previous year! Most of these investments have been funneled into residential construction, with seven residential complexes now under construction in the district, totaling 7377 apartments.
But wait, there's more! If all that wasn't enough, broader Almaty and Kazakhstan are witnessing some serious petrochemical growth too. The National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark is seeing major investments (a cool $15 billion total) in polypropylene, polyethylene, urea, and PET plants, all with the goal of reducing import dependency and boosting local engineering capacity. Plus, digital systems and robotic warehouses are being introduced across facilities, stepping up efficiency and safety!
So there you have it, folks! Gather 'round, because it's about to get lit in Almaty's industrial scene—and the party's just getting started!
