Insurance broker Verlingue establishes a collaboration with Alps, a prominent company in the industry.

In a significant move, independent European insurance and Employee Benefits broker, Verlingue, has partnered with Alps, a leading provider of insurance add-on policies, legal expenses, and claims solutions. This collaboration aims to deliver real value for customers by combining product innovation with seamless claims and legal support.

The partnership features the integration of Alps' proprietary claims platform with Verlingue’s brokerage services. This integration enhances claims handling efficiency and customer experience, offering faster, more transparent, and more efficient interactions around claims. Real-time updates, easy claim submissions, and better communication between the insured and insurers are likely benefits of this integration.

Under the new agreement, Alps will offer a market-leading Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) insurance with the addition of Financial & Legal. This extended coverage aims to provide superior motor insurance protection with clear benefits, including integrated legal and financial assistance.

The collaboration also promotes Alps Complete motor protection, a product designed to provide comprehensive cover and customer benefits beyond standard motor insurance. This product typically offers broad motor insurance cover with additional protections such as GAP cover or financial safeguards in total loss scenarios, tailored to safeguard customers against depreciation and unexpected costs.

The partnership includes a three-year capacity deal with AmTrust International, an A-rated global insurer. This deal is a broad delegated authority binder, allowing Verlingue's commercial clients to continue benefiting from Alps's full suite of add-on insurance products, including Alps Complete motor protection.

Michelle O'Reilly, Managing Director at Alps, expressed pride in the extended partnership with Verlingue, a firm that shares its focus on service excellence. Mike Latham, CEO of Verlingue Insurance Brokers, stated that Alps is a trusted partner that helps them deliver outstanding service to their clients.

Motor claims can now be submitted directly to Alps through this integration, while Verlingue retains full oversight. The new claims technology suite, developed by Alps to address challenges in claims service transformation, delivers significant benefits to claims services.

Verlingue, with an annual turnover of €314m, 1600 staff, and serving more than 3200 clients in over 100 countries, brings a strong brokerage expertise to the partnership. This expertise, combined with Alps’ technological capabilities, helps better market and manage motor protection products, likely expanding reach and efficiency in servicing motor insurance clients.

The Alps-Verlingue partnership is set to redefine motor insurance protection and claims management in the European market, offering customers a more efficient, transparent, and comprehensive insurance experience.
